Jecama believes that the basic concept of sustainability is simple as it is convincing. Energy sustainability makes both economic and environmental sense. Jecama works diligently to position itself as the first company in Valencia to provide office, commercial and light industrial space endowed with energy efficiency and renewal energy technology.
Construction and building operation activities consume approximately 65.2% of total electrical energy in the world; 36% of all primary energy; it generates 50% of all green house gas emissions and produces around 136 million tons of construction waste and rubble, approximately 1,3 kg/ person/day of which 90% could be totally recycled.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
JECAMA has set its goal in achieving energy efficiency in all its building and rental space. Energy efficiency advantages can be seen as tangible and intangible. When we speak about market positioning, energy efficiency in real estate, provides us a key differential advantage to our competitors, building brand image. Energy efficiency measures result in a lower supply, servicing cost and increase of productivity due to a pleasant environment, becoming an attractive tangible benefit to our customers.
Jecama is increasingly involved in energy efficiency projects for office space buildings through the LEED program (Líder en Eficiencia Energética y Diseño Sostenible). LEED is a building clasification system which targets major renovations in protected buildings.
PHOTOVOLTAICS
By applying photovoltaic technology to our properties roof, so not only collaborate with the deployment of renewable energy technology but we turn a passive property, our roofs into an asset.
